Assembler

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assembly, set-up, simple machine operations, material handling and inspection operations for the purpose of making products to meet customer specifications. (list specific methods and tools in this table for the job being taught)
  • Trained on basic measuring skills
  • Inspect parts using the Workmanship Criteria Manual
  • Responsible for producing high-quality work by checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • Accurately complete various records of work done.
  • Make decisions about product quality using tools provided by supervisor and the quality department.
  • Work on corrective actions as assigned.
  • Meet required productivity and quality goals set for the assembly team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.
  • Able to use simple measuring devices.
  • Effective in juggling multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Adheres to published work instructions, customer specifications and approved references.
  • Good manual dexterity

  • Demonstrates effective collaboration and teamwork with others.
  • Meets or exceeds agreed-upon deadlines on assignments and commitments
  • Shows competency by creating products with low defect rates, thereby demonstrating knowledge of how work is done.

  • Correctable vision to 20/20

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Assembly Experience
  • Candidates must be a US citizen/Legal Permanent Resident and meet RAFI North America security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
